Dental Surgery Design

Dental surgey design, fit out and waiting room layout

Dental surgery design

Dental surgery design involves certain things to consider. Usability, patient experience, layout and hygiene. All these are important factors to create the best surgery space.

The usability of the space is our priority in our dental surgery design. Making sure there is good lighting for all the team to be able to work well. Yet, avoiding harsh, glaring lights in the patient’s eyes. Working space is essential, like the ability to move around the room freely and efficiently. The chair to be close to everything you might need during a treatment. Safety of equipment, no trailing wires. Ergonomic cupboards and a well laid out floorplan all go towards a successful fit out.

Overall patient experience is key to happy and relaxed atmosphere. A well-positioned chair to focus the eye on a view can be helpful to take the patients mind off their treatment. On the flip side, a frosted window to create privacy during treatment will be appreciated. A clean, fresh look will help reassure patients that they are being seen in a hygienic space. Whilst neutral colours can be soothing, with the odd splash of colour for interest.
